Precocious® Program
Early Preparation for Junior High Students
Each year, over 150,000 students from 6th to 8th grade take the ACT or SAT to qualify for summer gifted programs at top universities such as Duke University's Talent Identification Program (http://www.tip.duke.edu/) or Johns Hopkins' Center for Talented Youth Program (http://cty.jhu.edu/). Preparing for these exams, however, is often difficult for these young students. Many prep centers will not allow young students in their classes and if they do, many parents are wary of sending their child to a classroom filled with much older students. Our Precocious® Program is designed specifically to enable younger students to work from the privacy of home at a comfortable pace. Additionally, the Precocious® Program uses adaptive learning technology to evaluate a student's skill profile and generate a personalized study plan. This way, bright, young students are assessed based on their skills instead of their ages and grade levels.
The program is the ONLY ACT and SAT Preparation program designed for bright, younger students who are looking to get accepted to gifted and talented programs across the country, and to receive early preparation for college entrance exams
Launched in February 2008, the Precocious® Program has already worked with hundreds of gifted middle schools and because of its success, was featured in the October 26th, 2006 North American and European editions of The Financial Times for its unique approach and great results.
