Would taking more Sat 2s help my transcript?
I didn't do too well freshman year and I'm trying to find things to make up for it, Im pretty good at test taking so I was wondering if taking more subject sats(and doing well in them) would make up for a slightly low gpa.

That's not a bad idea, John. Of course, colleges will consider your GPA separately from standardized test scores, but if there's an area where you excel, take advantage of that on your application. SAT 2s can improve any application and can show excellence in areas where your grades might not be so strong.

another really good way to bump up your application is to get involved in an extracurricular club or activity. It's not really enough to just join a club though. You want it to look like you put a lot of work into your activities, because that shows a school you'll be an active student and contribute to campus life.
