Hello again Leslie!
Okay, I have to admit I'm not all that familiar with bowling as a sport. Try asking your coach, other team members, and maybe the adult league players at the local alley to find out who the "big wigs" of bowling are. Another great way is to just visit colleges and college fairs! Look at colleges that you find interesting and check their websites if you like them to see if they have a bowling team. At college fairs, you can ask the representative (if nothing else, it will make for a memorable conversation). Also keep in mind that you can always get a group of friends together once you're in college and FOUND a bowling team.
If you're set on working for an established team, collegeboard.com (which was clearly a foundational tool during my college search) has a "college matchmaker" (click "find your match" on the collegeboard.com homepage) that allows you to search by a MASSIVE variety of features. These include the type of school (2 or 4 year, public or private, religious or secular), academics (minimum or maximum score, the existence of a certain major or an honors program) AND available sports teams (including women's bowling, I checked!). This engine will give you a ton of results to sort through, but it can be a very helpful starting point if you don't really know where to look.
Good luck on your search!
