In 2007 it was around 500 per section, or 1500 total

wow that's really high for an average score. Isn't it out of 2400? you'd think it would be around 1200... instead of 1500

you can't pass or fail the SAT or PSAT, man. you can relax on that. you just get a score based on how you did. Aganesh is right tho. I checked it out and 1500 is the average.

the reason the average score seems high is that no matter what you do on the SAT, you automatically get 200 points in each section. that means you get 600 freebee points.

so if you think about it going from 600-2400, that's 1800 points. Half of that is 900, if you add 600+900, you get 1500. so the average score really is right around the middle.
