football/colleges

Here's a better question: what college do you want to play for? Some colleges will actively recruit, but others will wait to see who applies and then offer positions, or even wait until the school year starts! If you have specific schools you're interested in, contact their coaches (or athletic department, if you can't find a number/address/email for a coach) directly and ask (it NEVER hurts to express interest!).
If you're totally unsure, talk to your coach. He/she is probably very familiar with what colleges recruit locally (and even if any of them are looking at you personally) and can give you some tips or people to talk to. When you do talk to coaches or recruiters, make sure to play up not only that you play well, but also that you're a team player. Colleges know that they can teach you certain skills and plays, but they can't teach things like teamwork, leadership, and smarts. Prove that you have these, and you should be able to find a spot.

If you want a scholarship, they probably want you to be a really good football player and have a good attitude. If you want it just to help you get into school/win you scholarships, you need to be good enough to make the team but your grades and test scores and recommendations will be more important.
