Where does everybody always find these great third-party scholarships for their kids? Is there some website or something where they list these things? There's so much to this college thing that I didn't even think about!

Many companies, especially larger corporations, offer scholarships to children of their employees. These can be great because they don't have as large of an application pool as some of the other scholarships you can find. Unfortunately, they're not as valuable as some more competitive scholarships. Every little bit makes a difference, though!
First of all, there is a website which is a really good resource for finding scholarships: www.fastweb.com. There are almost 1.5 million scholarships posted on that site's search engine, and you can search scholarships by keywords for type of scholarship and eligibility.
There are also other websites that offer similar services, but FastWeb is certainly the best, or at least has the most scholarships available. www.questbridge.org is one such website. The College Board has a search tool at http://apps.collegeboard.com/cbsearch_ss/welcome.jsp. It's pretty useful.
Of course, you can always use regular search engines to search for scholarships, too. Good luck with your search!

It's always a good idea to check with the financial aid offices of the schools you're applying to. They can really help you out if you're feeling lost in the search for scholarships.
