Is there any special software that people use to help them with their homework? I have trouble with math especially, can anyone recommend a good program?
Answers
Most online homework help centers or software programs will require you to pay. There's no need for that.
There are tons of free ways to get help via the internet. Some options:
(1) Try online forums and message boards.
Let's say you have a math question, there are online boards like: Free Math Helpwhere you can post your questions and get quick responses from teachers, professors, and other math experts. Look for these types of places to get help from those who will offer detailed answer explanations.
(2) Search Google for added explanations or teachings on the topics your homework is covering
Let's say your math homework is on absolute value inequalities, but you're unsure of how to proceed. Try typing that search term into Google and pulling up educational resources that can help to shed some light on these topics.
(3) Online tutor chat programs
There are several online resources that offer tutors--generally teachers or college students--who want to offer help via AIM or instant meesage. These may be helpful
You should only be using these online resources to supplement your learning not to replace it. Cheating via internet help means cheating yourself.

My parents purchased a subscription to an online tutoring service but it wasn't that great. The software was hard to maneuver--it was like MS paint--my tutor would draw numbers on a canvas using the mouse. It was ineffective and difficult. Also, my tutor could barely understand English, all he wanted to help me with was math. It was weird.
So, in your case, you might want to check it out. I think it was called like tutor helper or tutor something. I forget just search for it on google.

Don't waste your time. Take advantage of your teacher or other teachers who can help you after school. Live help is the best help, IMO.
PrepMe was helpful in getting me to a higher SAT score. Not only that, the program's lessons, quizzes, and practice tests helped me to improve my math, critical reading, and writing skills. Naturally, these skill improvements helped me in school with my homework.
You may want to check out PrepMe. In addition to helpful SAT material, they pair you with a tutor from Stanford or the University of Chicago, which is a lot of help. I was able to talk to a smart college student who even sometimes helped me with what I was working on in school.
