I have known my best friend since I have been in kindergarten. I love him more than anything in this world..but i'm not sure how to tell him...since we are best friends...I don't want our friendship to end if he doesn't feel the same way..

I'm guessing by your icon that you are a girl. As a guy, let me give you my perspective on this. There are two types of guys (and you know your best friend so you'll have to determine which one he falls into):
A) He's shy, your regular teenage guy who isn't super confident around girls - if he's that type, there's a good chance he may feel the same way but he doesn't have the guts to tell you. A lot of shy guys miss out on the girl they really care about because they don't have the confidence to step up to the plate and are afraid of rejection.
B) He's confident and has dated a lot - if he's outgoing and has asked a lot of girls out before, he probably sees you as a friend and it's going to be really hard to envision you as anything else. I know this is harsh of me to say, but in this case you should just assume it will be friendship forever.
Good luck either way!

I think that this is a very complicated case, on one hand you can risk losing your friendship because he could think you are weird, or you could really have something go with this guy.
Here is a stat that helps your cause: In Europe, 73% of girls in a survey who liked their best male friend, got the same response in return from the guy.
In my Maltese culture, it is often common for a girl whose best friend is a male to love him. In Malta, these feelings are expressed freely. Maybe it will work for you!!!!
If it doesn't work out, go serenade him at his house, by playing the song "Won't Go Home Without You" by Maroon 5, and if that does not work, beg him. Unfortunately i am going to have to agree with the other two that you might really know what "love" is.
So be careful, adn good luck =)
