I discovered the other day that my computer can share music with other computers near it, and it seems like this would be awesome in the dorms! everyone should make sure they have iTunes because it picks up the libraries of computers on the same network, which should mean most of the people in your dorm. So you can listen to everyone in your dorm's music!

I think it's safe to say that most college kids have partaken ins some form of file sharing, whether it's exchanging movies, music, DVDs, etc, at some point in their young lives. That doesn't make it right. File sharing, if involving copyrighted material, is 100% illegal. So beware. Colleges are very strict when it comes to their network sharing policies.
It is illegal to download copyrighted material off the internet. Make no mistake about it. That said, try to be smart about your file sharing decisions. The last thing you want to do is get a call from the Dean of Students requesting to speak to you.

I keep my itunes on all the time so that others can take advantage of my library. I have over 50,000 songs. It's great
