since most of us are students planning to go to school, it hought it would be cool to take a poll. what do you guys think the best thing about going to college is? my vote is meeting new people, but I'm also really excited about taking classes I actually CARE about. it migh sound ridiculous because I haven't even applied to school yet, but I can't wait to meet my roomie!

I like the overall freedom. The freedom to take classes that interest you and drop those that don't. The freedom to decide whether I want to sleep in or actually go to class (hopefully, the latter more so). The freedom to eat what I want. The freedom to spend my spare time doing anything I want.
It's going to be great. Which colleges will you guys be attending?

I started facebooking a bunch of people via my college email address. It's a great way to meet future roomies and hallmates. I feel like I will have friends before I even step onto campus.
I'm interested to see what the Greek scene is like. I can't wait to rush. I can't wait to party it up. I can't wait to just have a great time.
I'll be rooming with one of my best friends from another HS. We both applied together to GT and asked to get each other for roommates so I'm stoked about that.

I'm going to be in a suite for 3 other guys. I hope I get some cool people. On my application for roomate requests and guidelines, I just said "looking for chill people to hang out, not messy, don't care about anything else" so I hope I get some laid back roomates.
What's your rooming situation like?

you feel all grown up and independent being in a college class. you dont have those h.s teachers trying to tell you what your homework is and all that but i like the freedom and just will power that comes along with going to college. it can get tuff at some points, but otherwise it's allll good.
I just want to make my way in this world and be better of financially than what my parents were... I feel college will help me do that.
i'm kinda nervous about college, especially like the work load and stuff. i mean i'm used to a really heavy workload from ap classes and stuff but i dont know how college will be. hands down its gonna be hard, but hopefully not as bad as i'm thinkin
The best thing about going to college i think is that you get to live the life that you want and not get told really what class you have to take. You can go there and do something that maybe you want to do for the rest of your life. You can actually get to meet different people and different teachers (professors) and get to do something you LOVE and a bonus is that if you played a sports in high school and you go to a college that has sports then you can also continue playing it (if oyu have the grades).
