I'm so bad at taking notes! I come back on them to review and I have no idea what I wrote down. Is there anyone that can offer some advice on taking better notes?

Here is some advice:
If your teacher underlines something or writes it many times it usually means you should write it down and STAR it.
Take your own notes! Pay attention in class! It may be easy to copy other people's notes after class, but you may not be able to understand it. Try as hard as possible to take your own notes!
Date and title your notes! This way when you go over them, something may trigger in your memory of what was going on that day you took the notes. This will make it easier to understand your notes.
WRITE LEGIBLY! This is the most difficult part, but put effort into writing notes! If you can't read what you wrote, there is no way the notes will be useful. A little extra taking noted saves you a headache later on.
