What's the most important thing that colleges look for?? Is it your GPA? Extracurriculars, leadership, idk! What's the one thing I have to work on to get into a good school??

i think your scores on your sat and act are super important because it is a way to judge everyone off the same thing
For me GPA is the most important because it shows how well I did in school. And since college will have harder classes, they wanna know if you can handle it. But yeah colleges will look at more than just GPA
I think leadership is important, cause hopefully it shows that you're mature! I would say colleges want someone who takes initiative and would be a responsible student. They want someone who will contribute to their school
just try your best at everything! it's also hard to say because you might be a really good fit at one college but not at another. so you just have to do your best and hope that the college you want picks you.
if you know you're bad at one area, then work on that. like if you know your gpa could be better, focus on that.
Yeah I definitely recommend doing only the things you love, not things that just look good on paper. If colleges ask you to talk about your activities, you'll actually be enthusiastic about them. Also, grades are important, but you don't have to have like a perfect GPA. A good test score also helps (also doesn't have to be perfect)
Colleges look at a variety of factors, not just a single factor. They like well-rounded individuals that get good grades, participate in extracurricular activities, and basically demonstrate that they've spent their time in high school doing meaningful activities. Don't do a lot of activities just to say that you did them. You should actually be interested in and committed to what you do, and colleges will be able to see that.
