Hey I was just wondering what technology everyone uses to do their homework and stuff. I use my family's computer to write essays and other things, but I've always wanted a laptop to write on. Is there any other cool stuff that people use to do their homework/school stuff?

If you think about it, a laptop covers all the bases. It's a word processor; it's an internet browser; it's a vid/photo taker and viewer; it's a potential telephone (Skype)--it handles everything you could possibly want to do school related.
On top of a laptop, I have friends who have purchased PDAs to help keep track of their schedules. It can help you to prioritize. But, keep in mind, they are pricy.
a laptop will allow you to be mobile. You can start doing your hw at coffee shops or the library, etc. it's great for writing papers and such. Plus, you'll need to get a laptop for college anyways, so why not go ahead and take care of that now.
i pesonnaly do not have a laptop, and i use an alfasmart (a dana to be precise) to take notes and keep track of stuff. it has a much longer battery life to. consider it.

i dont have a laptop right now but i use my own computer to do all my homework business, i think they really come in handy most of the time. then there is also planners that are good to use for school also....
