as a senior, I can definitely say you should take it as soon as possible. The sooner you take it, the sooner you can take it again :p

definitely take it your junior year. Im a junior too and i plan on taking it atleast once before next year, that way i'll know where i stand in terms of scores and i can improve them by the time i take the SAT again

you should definitely take it this year. I'm a junior too and I've already taken it twice!

I'm just a freshman, and I plan on taking the SAT this year. It just depends on whether I can get prepared enough for it. I would definantly take it your Junior year. But if you don't think you are prepared enough give you some time you you can do your best your Senior year. Good Luck!!!

Junior Year, because:
1) In case you don't like your scores, you will have enough time to re-do it again before you submit your college applications.
2) Take it Junior year if you want to apply for colleges early.

Also, the PSAT's help a lot.
