I'm in the agonizing stage of choosing which college to actually attend. I'd be interested to hear some advice on how to choose the right one. Should I make a college visit?

Absolutely. Not visiting a college before choosing is almost like buying a car without test driving. I would highly recommend that you schedule a school visit to see what the campus looks like, talk to some professors and students about classes, and get to know what it would be like if you eventually decided to go there. It makes a huge difference.
The answer is yes. Although it may be costly and inconvenient (since you miss school -- although I wonder why anyone would hate doing that?), a college visit helps you to figure out if the next 4 years of your life will be well spent or not. Trust me, it's valuable. The upside: you become more informed about a choice that may affect the rest of your life and, even better, you miss school for a few days. The downside: you're out a few hundred bucks to fly in, rent a hotel, and join in on the college festivities. The choice seems clear to me.
i suggest that you shouldnt go in the summer but rather go in the spring b/c then you get to see what the students are like and things like that.
