A really good way, that is very useful to me, to study SAT vocabulary is by making flashcards. Have a source that has the vocab words you need plus a sentence that uses the word (You can find Sat word lists, etc on the internet). Learn 5 new words per day and memorize the sentence. This may seem like a lot of work, but memorizing the sentence is an awesome way to learn not only the definition but also how to use a word.
I like to study word groups. Instead of studying one word at a time, you should try to study a groups of SAT words that mean the same thing. For example, if you're learning a group of words meaning smart, you can memorize: sagacious, perspicacious, and intuitive together. Or, let's say words meaning fat, you can memorize: rotund, corpulent, etc.
i would agree with the others also, you either need to enter a study group or just try to do something by yourself and remember a couple words. you could also make up some memory games that will help you to your advantage. good going with that.....
The operative word here is 'study". Concentrate on a few words everyday, repeating the ones you know, then adding unfamiliar words from a list. You'll be amazed how quickly your list will increase.
You also could try the free resources page of prep me. There is a vocabulary builder game that might be helpful and fun at the same time. Also, there are websites like www.freerice.com that might help you to learn words but in a fun way.
well read the dictionary. I read the dictionary almost every night and I have a splended vocabulary. trust me, it works.
