How can I do well in a class when it doesn't interest me at all? Every time I start to do the readings for the class I fall asleep so I do really bad on all the quizzes and response papers. Does anyone have any tips for dealing with boring classes?

My IB World History class in 9th grade started out boring but then we got creative. We started to introduce new, innovative ways for the teacher to teach us about WWII, the Vietnam War, and other history-related topics like having us make video depictions or quiz-style trivia games. The class got more interesting; we learned a whole lot more; and we all did better in the process.
I've gotten As in classes that I liked and classes that I absolutely hated. The thing is, even if it's a boring class, you need to keep your head on straight. If you want to get good grades, suck it up. Do the boring readings, do the boring assignments, do well on the ridiculously tought midterms and finals--keep your eye on the prize, the great grade at the end.
