I have tried everything to improve my grades, the tutoring, the extra credit, the studying, but nothing seems to help me out. My sister is a 3.5-3.6 GPa student and I'm a 1.9-2.2 GPA student. Working with my sister is out of the question because we argue and disagree a lot. I need a fool-proof sure-fire way or idea to help boost my grades to at least a 2.9-3.0 GPA. Got any methods or ideas???

You might be getting all the right help and you might be going over all the right materials, but you may not be doing it the right way. Studying is only as effective as you make it. I can't tell you how many times I've locked myself up in a library or a coffee shop for 8 straight hours and have only really learned 15 minutes worth of material. It's sad. That said, I would encourage you to improve your studying habits. How? Watch students like your sister and other successful students and pick up good habits. Here are some of my proven strategies: 1) Study in spurts (you should budget in time to take breaks); 2) Schedule in your studying; 3) Study a little bit over time instead of cramming (it's much easier to digest packets of information over several weeks as opposed to a huge chunk in 1-2 days); 4) Eat and sleep properly to keep your mind sharp for maximum brain power; 5) Get excited about what you're studying. Good luck!
