I'm not sure what you mean by an "academy", but I'll assume you're talking about a private school.

Having put my daughter into private school, I know that good grades are important, so try to do the best that you can. My daughter had all A/A-'s while in middle school . Also, I would encourage you to make sure your Math, Reading, and Writing skills are up to par so that you score highly on any entrance exams that may be asked of you.

It depends on what kind of academy you are going to. You may also have to take the SSAT which is a standardized test like the SAT but it's sections are pretty different.



Overall, the stronger your grades the better off you are, but I'm pretty sure the test counts for a lot too.
