I'm trying to decide on classes for next year. I'm going to be in the 10th grade. Any suggestions?

Both Freshman and Sophomore year are usually filled with generalized, core classes (i.e. "Pre-Algebra", "English Language", etc.). I don't imagine you'll get a lot of leeway with your class schedule. However, if you do, try to get some higher-level courses in. I took AP Statistics and AP Micro in my 10th grade year.
Having that will help you down the road with college admissions.

I am in 10th grade this year. I would definitely focus on taking high-level math and science classes, especially if you are a girl. My counselor told me that there is a huge shortage of girls in engineering and science/math programs across the country and I really like science (plus I am not a great writer).
You should first sign up for your english, math, history, science classes first, the you should ask any upperclass friends what other classes that recommened and go by that, and what you are interested in.
