Easier to get into Yale Law if you go undergrad?
I may be thinking too far ahead, but I'm already starting to think about law school. Is it easier to get into a university's law school if you attend their undergraduate division? For example, are your chances better, if you're going from Stanford Undergrad > Yale Law or Yale Undergrad > Yale Law. Do they show preference for alums?

Yes, it's easier to get in if you went there for undergrad.

There is always a preference for alums. They are going to trust recs and grades from their own faculty more than anyone else.

Why are you so set on Yale Law though? Stanford, Harvard, Chicago, and Columbia Law are also all top notch programs and going to Stanford undergrad would provide you a good base to get in as long as your LSAT scores are strong.
