Do you have to take subject SAT tests?
and for one subjects is it required? and when should i take them??Im going to take several AP courses...so i was just wondering...that in my junior and senior year i am going to have to take AP exams, PSATs, and SATs ?????

it depends on what you want to do. some schools want you to take sat subject tests that fit what you plan to major in. for example if you want to do engineering, you should take the physics and the math II. if you dont know what you want to major in, take a test for a subject whose AP class you are in right now.

oh and some schools want 2 or 3 subject test scores, and most that require subject tests ask for the math II test.

the tests are available at almost any time there is a regular SAT, but most ppl recommend you take the test right after you have finished the course (probably in may or june).

I think you are supposed to take SAT IIs at the end of the school year so the May and June tests are the best ones to take - this way you have a full year of the class in the subject you're taking behind you. So if you take AP Chemistry in 11th grade, you can take SAT Chemistry in May or June of your 11th grade year.

I don't think schools require any particular subjects.
