Do IB Courses Help?
My school just introduced the IB program, but I don't know how challenging the program really is, especially in comparison to AP classes. Is it worth taking these classes?

From what I have heard, the IB curriculum is much more rigorous than the AP curriculum but colleges rarely give students extra credit for doing IB versus AP.

That being said, I think it always reflects well when a student has taken challenging classes so doing the IB program will help you stand out on your college application.

IB sounds cool.

However, given that your school has never run the IB program before, you might want to avoid being a guinea pig and just focus on AP classes till they perfect the program or at least have some experience in working out the kinks.
