I'm worried about the weather. I've lived in GA my whole life where the weather is great. Admittedly, I love the practically-summer weather year round. Is anyone else worried about adjusting to a cold weather climate? This is actually playing a significant role in my decision process. Any advice?

In my opinion, the single most important aspect of college decisions is the quality of the school. Don't let weather stop you from attending a school that offers better academics.
I agree with Becca. Besides, have you never had a snowball fight with friends in the middle of Winter?
Hey I lived in GA for like a long time too!, but i live in NYC now. I miss the weather and i completely understand what you mean b/c i hate the weather in the north, but it really depends on where in the north you are: like chicago is much more worse than like boston. also if you wanna go to an ivy league you can choose stanford b/c california has great weather (i'm just scared of earthquakes in CA). Georgia has great schools like GA Tech is really really good and so is Emory, it depends on what you want to study. For me personally, i wouldnt wanna go to school in chicago because i heard they have the worst weather and like 12 inches of snow
I know what you mean, buddy. Well, kind of. I'm from ME, where its -20 in winter and 80 in the summer. I wouldn't worry to much about it. If you're that worried, try and look or a college that is in a place with a warm climate, or if your top college is somewhere up north, bring lots of warm clothes, especially for the winter. You'll get used to it sooner or later.
