I've heard a lot of people talking about things like AP credits and graduating in three years. My bio teacher says schools never actually let you leave early. What's the real deal?

Certain colleges require a number of credits to graduate. Taking AP classes or advanced classes *may* award college credits which are sent with you to college. By doing this and generating enough credits, people are able to graduate early. Schools will let you leave early if you complete their required courses for your degree and come up with enough credits for graduation.
To get the number of credits to skip an entire year of college requires a lot of work throughout high school and taking some of the most advanced courses available though.
