I want to take advantage of the breaks to stay fresh. What are good studying foods?

good question. i think i should bring chocolate, like cgrant45 said. i dont know about bringing stuff with a lot of carbs, because then you cant think while your body's digesting all those carbs. so i'm probably not bringing cookies or crackers, stuff like that. dont forget to drink coffee before the test. the last thing i want is to fall asleep on the test, lol i dont think i would do that though :)
My SAT tutor advised me to bring some chocolate. Apparently, chocolate improves memory retention (I think he mentioned something about flavanols.). In any case, I bought a Hershey's Cookies & Creme bar the morning of my exam and nibbled bits and pieces of it throughout my exam. Although the effect may have been entirely placebo-related, I actually felt like my mind was kicked into high-gear. Critical Reading passages were easier to digest and difficult Math problems didn't frustrate me as much as they normally do. I did much better on that test than my prior exam. See if it works for you.
Yes, you are. I took the March exam and I noticed that several students brought snacks. I second JThorpe's suggestion of healthy snacks. I would also add a bottle of water to stay hydrated. Be careful though; the last thing you want is to have to take a restroom break during a test section.
